Let's keep in touch.

Across each of our pre K-grade 12 departments there is one constant—the key to the academic success of young people is their access to highly trained, highly effective educators. Our year-round programs span the pre K-grade 12 continuum from early literacy efforts led by our School Literacy and Culture program, to college readiness and access efforts developed by the Center for College Readiness, to high-quality secondary educator preparation through our Education program. As a result, the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies has emerged as a leader in the city of Houston as local districts turn to us for academic partnerships and consultation.

The mission of our pre K-grade 12 initiatives is to purposefully and meaningfully engage with the education community, proactively addressing and positively impacting the learning needs of teachers, students, counselors and administrators. We have received funding for these award-winning programs from the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, the Houston Endowment, Phillips 66, the Powell Foundation, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation and the Freeman Foundation, among many others.
